SUMMER TERM -WEEK 1-

Reception - Working At Home

From 20th April 2020

I hope you’ve all had an amazing Easter holiday and had lots of fun with your family!  It’s the start of a brand new week of home learning.  Below are lots of activities linked to different areas of the curriculum.  Do not worry if you do not complete all the activities.  Please remember you can email any pictures, including anything extra that you’ve done at home that isn’t from the grid.  If you have any questions or problems, please email: yearr@st-bartholomews.lancs.sch.uk

This website https://www.teachyourmonstertoread.com/ is a great resource to use at home to help your child learn to read and it’s free to use.  Once you’ve registered, select the ‘Fun with words’ section to start and then your child can work through the activities at their own pace.

Something to talk about!

Would you rather be very hot or very cold?  Why?

Quote of the day

Children see magic because they look for it.

Get Active!

Young people should be active for 60 minutes per day, so if possible find a safe place to get outside (even in the garden!) and play!  There are also some great online sites that encourage active learning to music.  In school we use;
